Classes know how to ruin all the fun :(

Island hopping, tanning on the beach, sightseeing, fattening up with yummy Grecian meals, losing the extra pounds from yummy Grecian meals by hiking Mt. Olympus and of course, visiting the Olympic Stadiums, old and new. This is a list of the many fun activities I can’t wait to do but, the reason I’m able to enjoy all these things for several months is due to a University program which of course, includes classes. Blahhh.

The program does not include courses on Fridays which means I will have an extra day to island hop! My Monday-Thursday will be devoted to all day learning. I was lucky enough to receive night classes on all 4 days! I’m crying with joy :( over the news. A sudden picture pops into my head at the thought of night classes and the picture includes a certain professor with bulging eyes, a monotone voice and crazy wild hair who is a pro at putting a classroom full of students to sleep. The other poor unfortunate souls that had to endure this pain understand who I am talking about. But I’ll sit through any class at anytime for this study abroad opportunity!

Monday/Wednesday:

GRCU 111 The Greek Key Seminar
Mon/Wed 11:30-1:30 Eirene Efstathiou

Where the hell is Matt?

My friend Rebecca showed this video to me and I thought it was the greatest thing. If you’re someone who wants to travel the world or just wants to see the world come together with peace and love then you have to see this video.

I cried the first time I watched Matt Harding dance his way around the world. I just thought this idea was brilliant. For any itunes users, you can purchase the music in the video through itunes by searching “Garry Schyman – ‘Praan’” or check out amazon.com for it.

Let the crazy begin!

9 days til Greece. Let’s say that again shall we?! 9 DAYS TIL GREECE! Yes, your one and only is spending 4 months in another country. I know many of you are excited to hear my stories, see my pictures of blue roof homes over looking crystal blue waters, lovely landscapes and gorgeous men (I do it only for you guys)! Others I know are thrilled at the thought of not having me around to wreck havoc in their lives. And I apologize to those in advance that may get a call at 2am to bail me out of jail. No, I promise that won’t happen. Wait, excuse me, I promise my mother that that won’t happen. I should also apologize to my two wonderful friends, Kate and Maura, who will be accompanying me this semester across the sea. This will be an experience of a lifetime and whether the experience will be good, bad or ugly is still up for debate.

So, if you would like to follow my adventures to foreign lands, this is the place to be! I figured facebook wouldn’t work. I’d have like 4793475 albums with novel long captions. I would like to post daily but please, these feet were not made for walking! The corner cafĂ© may just be a tad bit too far for little ol me. Weekly is more like it. Yes, picture me at Starbucks (Yes, Greece has a Starbucks and you know I’d walk there!) with my computer in front of me, a frapp in one hand and a quarterpounder (Yup, and Ronald McDonald has a home along the Mediterranean) to my right. Ok, that quarterpounder bit might not be there but I'm sure I will be accompanying my darling Kate to all the Mickey D’s we encounter.
